Shooting Moto GP at Assen

Afternoon All,

I'm off to Assen next week for the Moto GP weekend, for my 40th birthday present.

I'm wondering if any of you have shot at Assen, and if you guys have any tips?

Any help would be appreciated, as I've never been before.

Probably taking 18-70, 70-300 and tame on 150-600 lenses, with my d50 and d300

Basic kit, but used before for decent results.

Not shot at Assen before but I'm going over as well. Say hi if you see me, fat bloke with a talk photography neck strap

I'm taking my 7Dmk2 for its first real outing with my 300mm f2.8 and the 100-400. On Friday I will probably walk right around and take a few snaps finding good spots for Saturday, Sunday I will just be watching the racing from the grandstand

How did you get on Liam? I went to Assen for the GP last year but didn't take the camera

Sorry Russy, haven't been on here for a while.

Absolutely loved it at Assen.

It was great for taking photographs, and much much better than Silverstone for photography. Silverstone has now become crazily safety conscious with barriers/fencing etc.

I will try to get some shots posted later.
