I'm finding myself looking in the motorsport section to view and crit images and as a result, fancy giving it a shot. Just need to find some places to shoot.

I fish at mallory park so that's the obvious one (25 miles from my house in rugby) and of course, there's Donnington just up the M1. However, are there any MX tracks nearby or are there any suggestions for something else in the midlands.

The only motorsport I follow are WRC and F1 (and a bit of Touring cars), so they're obviously going to either require travelling and investment to get trackside access. Something where you can get close to the action without any hassle (or press accreditation) would be nice, be it bikes or cars. :)
 
Mallory park is very good for getting close but really only for BSB and they have already been this year. Donington will have BTCC this year.
 
Mallory, Silverstone, Donnington, Hillclimbs, Santa Pod.

Should be in reach. I'd like to see other suggestions too; especially MX venues!

for cars locally there's racing but also sprints, hillclimbs, autotests, trials, sporting trials, stage rallies (muti-use and multi-venue), road rallies, autocross, karts, 4x4 events (trials and comp safaris), drag racing . . . there are loads of events on, most nowhere near Silverstone, Mallory or Donnington circuits.

try darley moor you can get well close to the track 20 ft in some places plus no fences in most places it only a small track so you can do all the staights / bends in the day they run all the classes of bikes [125 - 1000 ] plus carts all for a tenner it proberly about the same distance as donni for you
 
Woodpecker Stages rally near Ludlow on 4th September, some of the best stages in the country and one of the best entry lists in years! (y) :cool:

You'll get closer to, and better action than any track! ;)
