shooting teathered on a 400D in lightroom?

No, you need EOS Utility up and running, that handles the tethered shooting and puts the files into a folder "watched" by Lightroom. If you've got any of the Canon apps installed you should be ok to download and install the latest version of EOS Utility without needing the original CD (y)
 
well after searching and searching I couldnt find the EOS utlity program anywhere, so I had to get it from somewhere else....
