Yes
i just got my first dslr, atm i have no battery, lens or charger, still exited i had a look round, i removed the body cap to see what was inside.
when i put it on again it did not click and isnt very solid (i can just take it of without pressing the button).
is that meant to happen ? am i doing something wrong?
thank you very much
Jack

Which camera?
None of the caps on my 450D or 500D click as such but they doo feel secure. the body cap that came with the 1.4 extender does seem to click not sure why.

Nope - none of my Nikon body caps 'click'... there's no recess for the camera's release button to click into...

It should do (if in doubt, wrap the camera in a cloth to stop it jiggling about if it's not in a padded camera bag) and the lenses will definitely click...

Yes, it will stay secure in a bag. The lens front cap tend to "click", while the back doesn't. I think. I have never really paid attention.
