Love the cartwheel, probably my favorite, although i do like the sculpture (ouch) too... on the first set i rather like that first one... i think you should also do some more buildings, looks like you have some lovely ones![]()
I did like your images on FlickrThank you T.
I need a definite topic to focus on and architecture/buildings seems ideal tbh ..... I reckon in colour predominantly though as b&w won't give many the credit they deserve.

A couple from the Mamiya C330 on Fuji Velvia 100. Seemed to have got the exposure much nearer on this lot, 20 out of 24 were pretty good.

I wouldn't normally post images of my captive birds.(as I realise it can be a contentious subject)
However, having bought the Nikon F4 from the classifieds from Trevor Bray.... this was my test roll through it.
Taken with the Nikon F4, using out of date Velvia Fujichrome 50 ...

Thank you Trevor....Great to see you're getting on with it Lee, beautiful shots.
Impressive from a 110 camera. I always meant to do something similar but stuck out on the edge of town in a commercial estate now all the architecture looks the same, bland.A few from a Pentax Auto 110 subminiature camera (c.1978)
ORCA 110 b&w 100 iso film devd in Rodinal
4. Local architecture.....could do to set myself a project of local buildings as there are some beautiful designs

Tell me about it, I'd photographed everything within my lunch hour walk distance, given that included Edinburgh Castle, half the new and old town that took a while and was very photogenic but still.Well my problem in that over four years have shot everything of interest in about 9 mile cycling radius of where I live, shot everything in the front and back garden...and with the nice sunny days, we have had recently, just can't be bothered to use my cameras to repeat shots already taken.
I'm down to this now:-
vicious growling guard dogs that gallop towards you when using a public footpath

Looks like the F4 is working well and loving the colours from the Velvia, what cracking film that is.
Beautiful shots of an Owl and if this is your bird you should be very proud, she,I think, looks in pristine and wonderful condition, the eye,s tell everything.
I am the most fervent advocate of Velvia 50,but,for me this looks a little over saturated, what did you do in scanning or PP?
Nothing to do with you at allThanks, both camera and film produced some great images
Sorry

No, trust me.... I literally pointed, prayed, and clicked!Nothing to do with you at allSorry

Richard thank you....it's a he by the way....
The film.... as it was a test roll, and I wanted to leave feedback for Trevor, to save time I had the film developed and scanned at the lab.... I did think the colours looked very rich..... but, as it produced the colours of the owl exactly as it is, I chose not to scan them myself(although, I may do now you've mentioned the over saturation)..... the images needed no PP, other than a slight crop.
Lee, that he looks like a she,all about attraction.
I would rescan then and let them go through natural, I am sure you would be pleased with the results.
, but at 2lb, it's a he definitely.Lol.... I'll tell him he looks gay then, but at 2lb, it's a he definitely.
And thanks, I will scan them myself and see, but being new to scanning I never know what to set the dpi to when I scan 35mm or 120 film to get the best result[/quote
Andy, really like both of those, really engeging compositional lines in the first and lovely autumn colours. The contrasting colours in the trees in the second are nice too! Thanks folks, here's a couple more and there's a few extra in the photos from film thread.

35mm 2400dpi and 120 1200dpi as a guide line.
Ok, thank you....
Although I'd been doing it the other way round, and had been scanning 120 film at 2400dpi, and 35mm at 1200dpi.
So, why does the smaller negative require more dpi than the bigger negative, and when would I need to use 4800dpi?
Another couple from me.....
Taken with the Mamiya RB 67, using Kodak Ektar 100
The first one went in the 'do not crop' thread
