ab$olut they are awesome espec. number 3 I am surprised more "urbex photographers" use film as it always looks so much better imho.

ab$olut, I like that one of the old Triumph - something about smooth or flat surfaces and B&W chemistry. Well taken, and it reminds me of some shots I took of a 1960's Ford Mustang on Delta 400 with my Bronnie:

I totally agree

Love that 2nd shot!

I should shoot more B&W to be honest its much easier the scan for a start! :D

Some excelnet images there the car ones are good also like the mine workings in ab$olut shot.

Interesting shot there cowaski. looks liek it needs a little boost with levels if you scanning into Photoshop.

On the other side is that scratchs I see on the neg?

vmlopes - I absolutely LOVE that first one ;)

Thanks ekimeno, bit of a chance shot those two beach ones as I was working at Sandown on the IOW and had a walk down on the beach early in the morning........not sure I like the colour cast in that film though, something bout the chemistry I guess.

Think I'll stick to Acros or Neopan normal B&W though

daveharlow, sweet!

glad to see i'm not the only one using a trip, love the wee thing. lol.

i find my colours are very similar to yours, thought it was my scanning or expired film but maybe the 'look' they have is what the trip does?

Cheers, From what I can remember they are taken on expired film, i really must stick some in date through to see the difference.
I'm finally getting more pictures back in focus. Finally!
Have a roll of Ilford HP5 that's almost finished, am looking forward to seeing the results.

I've found that when scanning C41 B&W films I avoid the colour cast by setting the film type to Colour Neg and the image type to Greyscale (if I leave it at the default 24-bit colour I get exactly the same cast-it's the same as when getting prints on colour paper rather than proper B&W paper).

This is on Kodak BW400CN (another C41 B&W film):

Maybe, I dunno, the whole roll is baad.
I need 1/1000th mostly to shoot wide open with 100 film.
I also think my rodinal is off, the grain for fp4 is horrific.
To be honest, I'm not sure what's wrong, I'm just gutted that 36 frames took me half a lifetime to shoot and gave not one single half decent frame...:crying:

excalibur2, I like your results using reala. Do you overexpose slightly to get the colours shown there? I can't get it to work for me.

1 from tonight, I think something *may* have gone wrong in developing, pretty gutted actually.

OMG? I always give about 1/2 stop extra for colour neg film and I can't be bothered to do my own colour developing anymore for 35mm when Tescos will do it while you shop, sometimes in 30 mins for 99p....mind you it's pot luck with what staff is on duty for results, as you could end up with the healing brush in Photoshop.

Two from a roll of out of date Fuji Provia 100, both stitched from two images no processing other than crop and layers.
