Show us yer film shots then!

I was trying my hand at still life last year and am hoping to do some more, so any tips most welcome. I find it suits the slower pace of film photography, with the advantage of course of not being dependent on the weather.View attachment 410835View attachment 410836View attachment 410840View attachment 410841
I do like those, Robin, specially the last two. I found it quite therapeutic, assembling the props and working out how to arrange them so as to make a decent composition. I was always surprised how weird it looked when viewed from a more "normal" angle! I confess to using my little digicam to assess compositions sometimes, but OTOH it's quite misleading having relatively massive depth of field!

Very good photographs with wonderful fine grain.

Like the contrast of warm and cool tones on the foliage

Thanks Chris. I agree, the scene setting is rather satisfying and surprisingly time consuming. I’m also guilty of a little digital support now and then.

Not taking many pictures lately, so went back to a few of my rejected negatives to pass the time.

Bolton Steam Museum, December 2023 steam-up. Nikkormat FT2, 50/1.4, Pentax stereo attachment. Kentmere 400 pushed two stops. Stereo images processed in StereoPhoto Maker Pro.

This is a Holmes card for which you need a viewer, a Brian May OWL viewer works.

Two red/cyan anaglyphs. First is underexposed so very grainy. Second image is a bit better.

Zeiss Ikonta 6x9 (1937) with uncoated Tessar lens. Tri-X, very out of date. Clumsy self portrait using air release which means you can't quite predict when the shutter will fire. I've just included this because the original negative is incredibly sharp. It's zone focussing so I measured with a tape measure. My head a a bit fuzzy because I must have moved a bit during the rather long exposure.
