Show us yer film shots then!

My appreciation for the skill in some of these photo's is growing exponentially, I am going to start looking at this thread from the beginning.

I took two slides up the windy moors and this is the second one, I suspect Peter will know this scene

Yes, indeed I'm very familiar with it.

Watsons Butchers in Hope Village - Outstanding Pork Pies, lovely short hard pastry and packed with meat. I got enough supplies for two days.

These couple were from the roll of film which jammed up in the Camera and I had to take the scissors too. The second camera I took with another roll I developed last week and lost everything due to failed developer. it would seem this trip to Castleton was jinxed, I lost all my snaps of Winnets pass. I had just been to the butchers in Hope as it had been recommended by a nice chap from Sheffield who I got chatting to while taking a break near the bus stop, I came out the butchers and saw the clock... Pork Pie Power.

The Clock Face

What time is it.JPG

I was so focused on the clock face and getting a very clever shot framed through the trees, took a minute or so climbing walls and crossing the road etc to get the best framing. I pressed the shutter then boom I saw the light dancing in the leaves, playing on the top of the gravestones and a shaft of light sparkling in the grass, so I took another shot from further back.

What time is it-2.JPG

I was so preoccupied with getting the shot I had failed to see the picture.

Flipping heck Nigel they look incredible.

Is there much work after the photo is "scanned" or that straight out of camera ?
Thanks Wayne.

I use Negative Lab Pro to invert the negs and make some edits there (I tend to use a flat Linear profile and then tweak the black and white points, highlights and shadows etc. as required). I create a TIF copy when saving the inverted negs and then make further tweaks in Lightroom, but rarely anything too dramatic - just to get them where I like the result.

The simplicity of this scene with its contrasts struck me.

Last one of the four from Hope village, after this the film in the camera locked up.

I like both shots; the blocks of colour in the second image are suberb.
I think gold 200 is underrated by lots of people. Great budget film, well if you can call any colour film budget nowadays.
(Says the man who’s got rolls of it unused, stored in his fridge out of date  )

Love the vintage vibe on the road bike photo too.

Thanks. I couldn't pass up on that bike scene - I think it was the last shot of the (only) roll (I had on me) too  :$ :ROFLMAO:

I certainly like Gold on 120 - I have some 35mm in the fridge, but my last 35mm stock up was Ultramax!

Both look excellent. Lucky you had a shot left for the bike though (y)

A couple from the first short test roll in a Pentax AF Zoom P&S camera.
Taken on Fomapan 100 on an overcast day..... maybe not the best combo for a P&S.
I was disappointed with the results, but realised that the exposure and focus is good (not sharpness) on these and on a close-up of my usual test subject.
Worth loading with faster film and trying on a brighter day.
