Steve.

Well, I was going to post my boring gear, but thanks to Steve there I don't think i will ... :D

Nice. Not into classics personally, but they look great!

Mine will be similar to Soda's, might put them together and snap them tomorrow.

I probably should of tidied the old cupboard up first and put a bit of effort in but there didn't seem much point after Steve's post. :D

That Nikon F in black is just so nice. It would be nice if Nikon comes up with a digital version

Quite a collection there Steve, then I noticed your signature!

Tommy, my missus keeps moving my boxes/packaging & actually put BOOKS on the shelves! :wacky: Damned inconsiderate if you ask me :D

Here is my new bargain basement street setup.

Not a lot compared to other members but I am just a hobbyist :)

Hoping to add a 50mm f/1.8 to the collection soon but the 400D body needs to go.

Doesn't matter on quantity mate!

Doesn't change if you can or can't get a good shot so dont worry about it! :D
I literally only buy equipment I need to do the jobs i'm being paid for.

I rent lens where needed like th 70-200 canon etc

:) To be happy I want to sell my 18-55mm kit lens and old 400D body. Get a 50mm 1.8 as well as something ranging from 20's up to 70's then a 100mm plus for motorsport. 100-400L (y)

Edit: I need to do a portrait course at college to see if I like that kind of work I think. As much as ide like to do it, it will be hard to get noticed in motorsport/landscape work which I currently really enjoy doing.

Bit dissapointed these are not in your fridge thing Gary.
I sold that a couple of month ago after a mishap with a shelf, needed some toughned glass shelving replaced but the glass needed to have 4 intricate cut outs so was too expensive to replace as it was a specialist job needing intricate cutting equipment, tried a wooden replacement but at only 5mm thick it wasnt strong enough and bowed in the middle, my mate uses it a a gun display cabinet now, not strictly legal though.

Well the 1.8 is a great lens for the money, I use it and its superb if your not too bothered by focus noise and looks.

As for motorsport, thats one of my main do's and I use the 150-500mm which is the one in the picture and its superb... if you have a pretty steady arm, 3Kg with the camera attached is a fair weight to hold through a whole day of racing.

This is the 500mm on the camera, it fits well and balances well, love it to bits although it is heavy but I cannot fault the lens for quality or bang per buck.. best money i spent.

Wound in on the 150mm end, its about 4-6inch longer extended to the 500mm end

I may at some point do a decent pic of all my stuff, inc extras, as much for record as anything else.

I was too lazy to do up a proper one of gear so here's one of my current lenses I took on the phone a few weeks back:

iazzep3.jpg

SB900, D800E, Sigma 35mm 1.4, Sigma 150mm 2.8 macro OS, Nikon 24-70mm 2.8 and Nikon 85mm 1.8G

Think tank sling-o-matic 20 there behind them [surprisingly fits all that plus the usual extras], soon to be replaced by a Kata Pro-Light Minibee-110

I should manage it just about, haha. Been weight lifting heavily for 6 years. I do also enjoy just watching the racing and not actually taking photos for a small part of the day.

That Sigma 30mm 1.4 looks really nice

They definitely got the looks right on that one. Looks real nice on the D800.

Looking at my pic, the Sb900 looks the oddball :D but it's the perspective/iphonage making it look overly huge and awkward I think

How you getting along with the new sigma 35mm?

Love it so far, but have to admit, I've not used it near enough yet. That's about to change, hopefully! :)
