I'll be spending around three hours in a Cessna tomorrow doing some aerial work. It's a grand tour of Anglesey and then the southern part of the Snowdonia NP.

It will be touch and go as the easterly wind might cause us a few problems.

The last time I did this i felt a bit giddy...so I'd better take a small bag along with me just in case:shake:

make sure you have a decent meal first
empty tum is bad news

some say eat bananas
the only thing that tastes the same on the way back up!

if you do feel "strange" look out the front for a bit
or focus on the engine cover/propellor

and do have fun - and post lots of pictures!

Great tips...thanks.

I might ask to fly the aircraft to take my mind off things. In addition I'll try and not chimp too often....chimp (banannas);)...get it

Just have fun and you wont fell ill. Take lots of photos to distract your self.

I was once a chief photographer for an aerial photo company.
we use a variety of piper craft.
I was often sick.
If your are sick... you feel better.

Plastic bags are now tucked away in the back pocket:D

The pilot has just given me a call....it's a go for 11:30....(it's the only slot that was available. At a guess it should takearound 2.5 to 3 hours.

There is a company in London that are waiting for these so no pressure then:)

I'm really looking forward to this:thumbs:

Try not to spend too long with your eye glued to the viewfinder.....if possible! If you do get air sick, that's a guaranteed way to make yourself pop. As said, looking out over the nose and horizon will help.

I've been air-racing before...that's a stomach churner :D

Right, job done:thumbs:

I'm just going through the shots...about 400 ish

The turbulence was terrible especially past Snowdon. We "dropped" 500ft at one stage and I had to resort to using the 70-200 when we went inland.

On the plus side the quality of light was superb. Better than expected.

Feeling ill...no chance I was having too much fun;)

Just one of the shots.

I'm not asking for CC on this one.
