Hi everyone,

I've posted this in the computer section aswell as I didn't know which section it falls in.

Is there a website where i can create or design a signature/logo for my photos? If anyone knows of any please let me know.

Put in my order on Monday and the samples came through last night. They've sent 6 samples and I'm just looking at them now to see what they're like. I have unlimited revisions on them but the first impressions are they are quite good

I hope you do OK with them, I looked a while ago and found a lot of people had problems https://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&hl=en-GB&q=http://logodesignguarantee+review so for now have stuck with my old, boring logo.
 
Mark, I had similar reservations when I read the reviews. I never go with anywhere until I've googled them but you should see all the attempts I made myself in paint and photoshop etc. The time I spent playing around, was more than 25 quid's worth and I got more and more frustrated with myself producing utter tat.

I'm yet to submit my amendments/revisions/tweaks but I'm happy with what they have given me so far but as you say, I'm still in the design process so there might well be a thread from me soon going :gag:. But then it was £25 so I can't compain :lol:

In honesty if things go well with you I might give them a shot as long as it remains at £25. What resolution will they supply them at or are they vector?
 
As far as I know they supply in .eps, .tif. .jpeg, .gif and .psd but they will do vector format on request. Not sure about resolution, this might be an "on request" thing as well

Don't pay much attention to the offer ends midnight 20th Jan, when I did mine, it said offer ends midnight 17th Jan!

I shall let you know next week how it goes
 
Have a look on etsy.com for photography logos. They have some pre designed ones from $10, one of a kind ones from around $40 and fully customised logo and branding packages from around $100 anywhere upto $500 depending what you want
 
Although only a young budding photographer, I thought it would be fun to create a logo water mark to add to my photos for my Flickr portfolio. It just consists of my name in blue and my Flickr URL in white beneath it. I then found a silhouette "sticker" of a DSLR camera and made it part of the text. It's only a very small simple logo but I really like it.

you can always photograph the signature instead of scanning if you haven't got access (then adjust levels and b+w layers to get it nice and crisp).

I've not got a nice range of small discreet signatures and banners both in black and white (low opacity) which are in LR3 as watermarks, it works like a charm and looks great!
 
Update with the design company I'm using:

I submitted my redesign requirements yesterday, three variations arrived this morning, sent one more little tweak and they returned three more variations within 20 minutes, if that.

I'm now very happy with one of the designs so I'm just waiting for the files now
 
The finished files have arrived

I'm very happy with them, just got to get rid of the black background - that was my fault though, I didn't think the black background was part of it :lol:
 
Kelly, how much of a brief did you give them? Just the business name/details and a blank sheet of paper, or did you give examples of the style you wanted?

I have example logos I'd like something based on (dating from 1860-80, not trying to copy anything used by a contemporary business) but I'm no graphic designer, and the pricing on that link looks too good to pass up if they'll take such a tight brief.
 
I basically said to them I like the colours red and black in it and want something quite simple. They sent through 6 different designs and then I picked aspects of a couple of them and decided I did want a graphic so sent that along as well.

If you send them something, they use it in the design. You can attach examples of logos or fonts and they will base it on that or you can do what I did and just say colours and the wording
 
Thanks Kelly, I may give them a go sometime soon. At that price it's worth a punt.

Unless there's a student graphic designer reading this and wants to send me a PM ;)

It's not a problem for me to take the black background off. It was my mistake so I feel a bit bad asking them, iyswim

Plus it will be good for me to work out how to do it :D

I've been wanting a simple logo but not got round to trying something myself - so might give that a go.
