We see lots of images before us both in our camera club comps and really good websites like this one, but i would like to know which finished presentations the "Judges " would prefer to see ? ones which are signed by the Photographer/Author or ones which are not, and does it make a gnats eyebrows difference to the marking, and if so WHY ?
 
Well personally I find a signature on the image highly distracting. hate it.

When you say signed, do you mean like a watermark? I would hazard a guess that most judges would frown on it. I attended my first ever camera club meeting the other week and it happened to be competition night. All the submissions were anonymous until the resaults were read out. If this is the case for most clubs, I would imagine that alone would discount the admission of images with sigbnatures.
 
I did it because i liked it so have been there done that but i do think a nice discreat one is ok, it's a bit of editing and learning about how to but i must agree there better with out, and may be just a discrete boarder.

A good how to on boarders or signatures would be good any one take up the challenge
