What's best for a teenager who likes photography?
I've got a d40x with 18-105 lens! That she can have
 
Good tool to learn with, with a versatile lens,
 
I bought my 12 year old a d3100 and 18-105 last Xmas. He does remarkably well with it - at that age, less is generally more or they'll lose interest

GAS can come later ;)

D40, D40x etc........if they had yours would it give you an excuse to buy yourself something else?

I've already gone full frame! It's last of my dx stuff but I've just bought another for the collection
 
Good ! They will love it! My four year old is really into it already
