Hi guys,

Any of you shot motorsport at Snetterton?

If so, where do you recommend?

Cheers

I'd suggest Russell, on the banking opposite the pits, I've heard they have improved the spectator banking between the Bombhole and Corum, also outside the Esses. You shouldn't need too long a lens for most of those either.

The 'Esses' section is my favourite spot, as it is at the end of a fast, long straight, and you can get shots from the inside or outside of the track. The outside of the track is the closest.

The other areas for me are Russells chicane and the outside of the start area, a bit of a trek around the circuit, but worth it.

Russell Bend is great, you can get very close and there is plenty of over taking and even crashers there. You can also see up to Coram Curve so you can get a hole string of a over take. Also you some times get some very fast offs when you are looking up there.

The Esses is good as well as your at the end of a very long strait and some very interesting things can happen there. People out braking them self is common place on club events.

If you have a big lens Riches Corner can result in some incredible offs as there going so fast but for the most its quite there.

In the morning I would suggest shooting from the Esses. In the afternoon, Russells. This avoids shooting into the sun.

Riches is a long trek and public can't get all the way there.

Currently, they are building finishing a huge earth bank from Bombhole to Corum and spectator access is limited.
