No
I’ve got so used to buying online over the past few years that the only place I tend to physically shop in is the supermarket.
I can honestly say that I have no inclination nor desire to go to the shops. My other half is the same. The only shop she’s going to visit this week is Dr Martens to exchange a Christmas present.

What about you?

As much as I'd like to go to IKEA as there's a couple of things I'd like to get, there's no way I will because everyone else will be doing the same.

If I wasnt stacked out with work I would.Plan to on Sunday though.

Online is fine but take Holister - £5 delivery and then £5 to return items - often I fall between L & XL depending on shop and type of clothing so a right pain for me, plus I like to browse in store too.

I need a new battery put in my watch but that's all really.

I'm going into Manchester just to be out in the sun in a place where there are other people from whom I will be distancing of course. I would like to sit outside a café which I haven't done in god knows how long.

There are a couple of shops that I want to visit again but am going to probably wait till next week!

The one thing I was looking forward to was zoo’s opening again and we are going tomorrow, just got to hope the weather is ok.

Even before the pandemic we did a lot of shopping online. anyway but it has increased since March 2020.

Neither me or Mrs Tringa are keen shoppers so we will continue to do as much as possible online.

I'd say we're the same. The only time we tend to go to the shops is if we need something that we want to see first hand rather than online (furniture for example)

Going to physio to try and see what can be done for the muscle/nerve damage incurred by a poorly placed flu jab.

No shops, but didn't ever enjoy that particular pastime

Yep. There are probably other things, but the only items I can think of now where I would go to a shop are shoes. Even then that is only a possibly, as I wear trainers just about all the time and I know a few brands and models that will fit me, so get them online too.

Shoes is a big thing for me as, although I wear trainers almost exclusively, I'm unable to tie laces so I need ones that fasten with velcro. It's much easier to go to the shop rather than online, especially as sizes vary so much.

I try to avoid shopping at the best of times!

I was going to rejoin my local gym - it was DW who obviously closed down last summer so has now reopened today as Everlast - but going by the number of cars around the gym by my work at 6:45 this morning I might give that a miss too for a while!

I can't see the need for me to go into any shops for the moment - I'll let the rush die down before I'll even consider going shopping :)

I’ve just started going to Lidl again after doing click and collect ever since this started
I had my vaccination over two weeks ago now so feel safe enough to do shopping when it’s less busy
I realise that my resistance isn’t at full strength yet but feel safer now obviously still take all precautions

Not going today but might see what Debenhams looks like tomorrow. Need a couple of houseware type things so if it doesn't look too busy, I might go in to pick over the bones.

Depending on the availability of tables (and the weather), we are probably going to Wagamama for supper tonight. We've been click and collecting over the past months but would like to avoid any washing up and recycling!

I'll be going to work later so will hopefully not drive past too many pubs :(. My shopping habits have hardly changed so I've no urge to splurge on the high street.

Something that might be useful for anyone considering buying an item online but concerned about the possibility of having to return it - wrong size etc - and not wanting to queue at the post office, is the Royal Mall parcel collection service.

Normally it cost 72p per item on top of the usual postage cost. It isn't a huge amount but until 30th May it is free, though as this page - https://www.royalmail.com/collection - shows this date is subject to change.

Well I'm glad the shops have opened, not that I plan going to them anytime soon no major purchases planned, might pop to the DIY store when things calm down as I need a few bits but nothing that can't wait but if this morning was anything to go by it's made the supermarket a lot quieter.

There is a small amount of caravan bits I need but not planning to go anywhere until later in the year that can be put to one side. Will have to go out next Friday second jab due then so not going to miss that.

DIY stores have never been closed and outside of school holidays and weekends have been nice and quiet

Wouldn't know haven't been to one in well over a year, haven't needed to and as I said I could do with a few bits and pieces but nothing that can't wait so no rush.

Haven’t been to a supermarket since last February. Have no desire to ever enter one again tbh.

Everything I could ever want or need can be bought online and delivered to my door.
Suits me down to the ground.

Posted elsewhere but fits here too!

I've been shopping throughout the lock down, most of the shops that were closed were not ones I was bothered with - such as clothes shops, I buy mostly online these days when it comes to that - I do miss heading into a cafe to sit and have a fry up now and then and weekends I used to bring the kids to Eddie Rockets or McDonalds, often we'd go bowling first - couldn't do any of that for a long time so when Ireland decides to follow suit that's what I'd look forward to, and a pint in a beer garden :)

Way cheaper to get batteries online and do it yourself. ;)

We’ve just got back from a garden centre. I’d estimate half of the customers weren’t bothering to wear a mask inside. Do people think Covid has just disappeared because the rules have been relaxed a bit? Lockdown 3 here we come.

Is there a supplier you would recommend, because mine has given up the ghost.

Definitely no shop visiting planned here, we don't feel any need to do so and there are only one or two places we might consider - outdoor pursuits stuff eg Cotswold Outdoor, but tbh we can get everything online so nothing planned. I miss restaurants and cafe's but not planning that either for a good long while, I have no desire to sit outdoors in the cold eating or drinking.

Although, I've just thought that it might be nice to visit a ham radio store sometime to see some gadget porn.

Wagamama was almost empty last evening and we were the only eat-ins after 10 minutes. They were very busy with deliveries though.

The bar about 25 yards away was heaving with students (judging by the assortment of regional accents) with little or no social distancing going on. Have to drive through studenty areas to get home from town and there were large groups of them staggering all over the place. When will the next lockdown start?

Not a chance. I've always avoided them as best I can anyway. At least now I have a good excuse when someone asks me to go with them.

It seems to me that far too many people think that this is over and it was the last lockdown. I disagree and think this is just the beginning of this pandemic, not the end - IMO it's going to get a lot worse.

How, the vaccine will reduce deaths and hospitalisations. We have only eradicated 1 virus I believe in the history of mankind so this will be something we have to live with and will not end. Flu kills 10-20k a year in the UK and we dont even blink.
