Well, I have Win7 Pro, LR, PS5, Android SDK/Eclipse/JDK, Office 2k7, Premiere Pro (trial) plus numerous other programs and I use 30Gb!Using Treesize, I just totted up the space used if all of these are installed on C drive: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, Office 2007, CS5, LR3, CNX2 & numerous other small programmes. It comes to 72.1GB (approx).
Breakdown:
So a 90GB SSD should be fine for programmes and the OS - as long as all other data (documents, pics, music, etc) is saved to another drive.
- Program Files (x86) = 20.7
- Program Files = 5.2
- Program Data = 2.0
- Windows = 19.9

I have moved pagefile.sys to another drive and my system restore points are held on another drive.
Will do when I'm home (currently enjoying the mountain views in Southern France.... wish I'd brought my camera, but I travel light)Can you run Treesize Free and give your sizes for each of these?

Don't worry, it's work related so I'm in an office enjoying the views....Jammy devil!![]()

Hmm, that's odd. Pagefile.sys is 8GB on my machine so ignoring that I'm still using 64.1GB for the rest of the items in the list. Ignore hyberfil.sys as well and it's still 58GB.
Total 32G (or thereabouts)
- Program Files (x86) = 3.7G
- Program Files = 3.7G
- Program Data = 0.6G
- Windows = 21.5G
- Other = 1.5G (or thereabouts)
- Files = zero without pagefile.sys & hyberfil.sys
- AppData = 0
- Desktop = 0
- Pictures (library) = 0
- Downloads = 0
- Public = 0
My user directories are on a completely separate drive.
Glad you got it sorted![]()
