Some idea's for something different

Yesterday evening me and a mate had a walk over the fields for some wildlife/landscape shots and ended up doing something a bit different.

I don't mean to sound modest, but I'm a big lad, I've been hitting the gym for over 3 years now and take great pride in my appearance. The shots we managed to get can be seen here:

Now, we were both throwing idea's in for those 'different' shots and I found myself in the same mindset as when I was getting shots of my bike. Looking for decent pictures shooting 'accross' parts of the body, some nice Depth of field and trying silhouettes too. Usually I'm really good at this, but I had 1 or 2 idea's then my mind turned onto a blank page and I got stuck.

If you were in this situation, what shots would be taking to express the male body... showing curves and muscle (Without that sounding like I'm a c*nt) - I want to go back out and get more as I'm really happy with what we did get before the sun went in. Technically, I'm fine with the camera now. Shooting in manual on the shots and could get the camera to take the shots I wanted. I just struggled with ideas on what to actually shoot.

Some ideas from the creative minds of Talk Photography?

Do you have any flashguns.....?

You could try something along these lines...

No, but it's something I will invest in if they're required. I have just come into some money and I was looking at a Macro lens - but a Flashgun may be an alternative?

My kit:
Sony A300
18-70mm 3.5/5.6
55-200mm 4.5/5.6
50mm 1.7 (Minolta)
Skylight 1B Filter (For Minolta)

What would the composition and setup be on a shot like that? (Excluding the baby oil lol)

Looks like a flash to the left, kind of in front of the model, and then one behind to the right of the model? probably wrong though!

Have a read through Joe McNally's blog, he usually gives lighting diagrams and/or descriptions. There are a few other shots he's done that sound as if they might be the sort of thing you're after, again I think they are mentioned somewhere in the older entries on the blog.
