a friend of mine took some self portrait shots on her phone and as you can imagine there not technically good (pose and make up fine) the white ballance is way off and lighting is poor.
as shes a friend and knows im into photography i thought id try to offer a few tips to make it look better but OMG she took it the wrong way and now im in her bad books lol :bonk:

p.s sorry if this the wrong thread, i was'nt sure weather to put it here or in out of focus?

That made me laugh.

In all seriousness, if people are not into photography they don't give a flying hoot about White balance or anything else, as long as they like them that is all that matters. I know my wife is always saying to me that I care about the technical things and not catching the moment.

Exactly. Non photographers can be overly passionate about their "good" photographs. I think they put them in the same league as the top pro's sometimes :cuckoo:.

"That's Nice". Walk away, best advice.
 
People see photos differently to other people. One person may think its a great photo although the wb is off and its not in focus. While a photographer would hit the delete button.

Its all your fault so go buy some chocolate's and say sorry.
 
lololol yup il not make the same mistake again il jus keep my mouth shut next time lol :) they were only facebook pics and ive known her for years i dont think she was too upset really, just yanking my chain really lol
