though they're increasingly becoming more and more common

great little tactic to sell

there was another one where the guy was selling his swim suit with a real funny description, then he decided to donate it the proceeds to charity - thats when it all really took off - by its popularity - the company that made the suit donated another one to the auction, another company donated a surf board and it just snowballed.
 
It seems that he's making a mint (no pun intended) out of the doodles he did for the advert.

So THAT's what I need to do when it comes to making money out of my cartoons. Sell something really rubbish on eBay and come up with a wacky description of it, and then surreptitiously insert my cartoons into the fold.
