No, it's not an insect!! It's probably one of the least "extreme" macros I've produced (magnification wise), inspired by an article in DP this month have some inky abstracts:
I never knew whites could be so white!! The lighting for these was great fun to experiment with and I had to play with the levels in PS to blow the backgrounds completely. I've got the blue one coming on canvas shortly as a treat to myself and to brighten up the dining room.
