Edit My Images
Yes
Anyone know if the resolution of the camera can be altered. My images are showing at 72dpi with the camera shooting in jpeg mode at 14mpx. Is this the max resolution in jpeg or can it be increased.......if so how?

Cheers

Chris

Forget dpi.. its nothing do to with resolution...only printing.

Even more confused now

Well as I said its nothing to do with resolution.

If you had an image that was 300 pixels wide at 72dpi your print would be about 4 inchs plus a bit.

(300 / 72) = 4.16.

But like I said.. dpi really does not mean anything at all and is nothing to do with the resolution of your camera, which is fixed.

DPI does not relate to image quality... it relates to "Pixel Density"

I also have a Sony Alpha 350 DSLR, and it shoots at 4596 x 3056 (14million or 14 Megapixel) as stated... printed at 72dpi this would make an image 63inches x 42inches...

Please DONT confuse DPI with sensor resolution!! Most of the time your images would be in the region 12x8 inches or smaller... at 300dpi you would get an image 15x10inches with no loss of quality... and you could enlarge this a LOT before the drop in quality is visible!!

I hope I havent confused things, but DPI is PRINT resolution not anything to do with the cameras Megapixels!!!
