Sony Alpha A290 vs A450

i just bought a A290 and got pointed out on another thread that i can buy the A450 for the same price after adding insurance.
I would assume the A450 is better.
Im hoping i can just take my A290 back to jessops for a refund and re buy the 450 from comet.
Dilemmas, dilemmas.
any one got/had either or?

you will be lucky if they take back an open box as there is no DSR on store brought goods.
 
i did return my last compact the day after buying and trying it out at home. im hopin they will. failing that il sell it if its really worth me getting the A450
goin by some of the spec the A290 looks slightly better than some of the A450 spec and the diff being CCD and CMOS

So jessops wont take my camera back. is it worth me selling on my A290 and losing a few quid then re buying the A450??
 
I think that's only a call you can make - Sony DSLRs do not do well on the used market, so the A450 is going to end up costing you a lot more than the £330 it is now when you factor in what you'll lose on the A290.

im prob better stickin with it and punting it in a year or 2, or even keep it as a spare. i dont think theres that much difference

I'd enjoy your purchase, get to grips with it and when your ready for an upgrade see what is out then and what you want the new body to do that yours doesn't - eg faster fps, full frame etc.
