When they first came out, I bought an RX100 - it was amazing, best compact I ever had. Then one day, it stopped working. It was just dead - tried everything i could think of but no joy. Mourned it, threw it away, moved on.
After a while I spotted a bargain mark 1 on eBay so I bought it. Decent condition etc etc. Worked fine. Then one day (really not long after I bought it) it stopped working.
Thinking hard about it, the last thing I remember doing with both cameras is plugging them into a particular USB wire that is running off a powered hub on my desk to charge the battery. They both died in exactly the same way. The coincidence is too much for me.
Anybody hear of anything similar? Google hasn't. Any thoughts on whether the one I didn't throw away can be resurrected?
To save some questions....it's a long white USB lead that I use with lots of stuff. It sits on my desk and I plug in whatever I need. It's running off an Anker 7 port USB3 powered hub that works fine.
