Captured hand-held last night using Panasonic G5 with Raynox 250 on 45-175 lens, and KX800 twin flash with shallow hybrid diffusers and a concave diffuser.

All the shots used the G5's rather slow 1/160 max flash sync speed, f/22 and ISO 250.

The images were batch processed in DXO Optics Pro and individually adjusted in Lightroom.

I noticed this, hanging in front of the low wall I was exploring.

I then moved on to photograph a nearby woodlouse. While doing that I noticed movement out of the corner of my eye - the spider had returned to its prey. It was moving around fast. In 20 seconds I took 6 shots, and then the spider and prey had disappeared. Only three of the shots seemed good enough for posting, but I have added a fourth (the last one here) because it shows the spider grasping the prey which it had released from the web and was about to carry away inside the wall.

You almost got in trouble there Nick!

As you were getting closer to its prey,
the spider felt it had to stand between
you and its lunch…

Very cool level of details but a tad too
yellowish rendition for my taste.

I think that's about it. :D

I think that's a good call Daniel. Thanks. I also think it has too much magenta. I was concentrating on controlling highlights with the set of images from which these are taken and didn't pay a lot of attention to colour. I did notice a pinkish hue a couple of times (one of these was one of the ones where I noticed this) but I promptly forgot about it and didn't come back to it. But I think you are right about the yellow too. This spawned a quite detailed bit of digging and experimentation, which I'll probably write up in my journey thread, but for now here is an animated gif comparing one of them as posted with a version with Temp and Tint both reduced (which I prefer the look of).
