sports cam stills

Hi all,

I am considering buying a sports video cam to mount on my motorbike to use when I go touring, I'm aware there are lots to chose from and they all appear to give good video results, but my question is does any one camera take better quality photos, my budget is around £250.

alot of guys from the track days I know use go pro's but how this would mount to a bike I don't know as a dont have one myself....but the new go pro 3 is out so you should be able to pick up a old one within budget a would think
