St. Marys Lighthouse

A couple of images i took last night. I was on The Farnes for the Puffins and stayed overnight in Seahouses so a last minute decision to travel down to St Marys Lighthouse. I knew the tide times were against me but it was either stay in the room and sleep or drive out and get some pics.

This was when i got there and the tide was almost out-

The warmth of the light really works well in the second one, while the reflection and sand ridges work equally well in the third one. I'm not so keen on the posts in the last one.

Nice images, my favourite is #2. The composition and light are excellent.

It's along time since I travelled up in the early hours of the morning. I arrived in time for a sunrise where it looked as if the red sky was on fire, then later similar light as you had.

#3 is my favourite. All of them are good but #3 is fantastic. Love the colours

All of them are great, I like #1 for some reason, but can't put my finger on why.

Number 3 is my favourite.The light is lovely and the rippled sand leads into the shot. Well worth the trip.
