Stamen & Stigma

The second lily flower has opened up today (the first bloom was removed for the other day's image) and I got in close and personal this time, concentrating on the innards of stamen and stigma.

Deliberately set the aperture to a nice wide f/6.3 because I am concentrating your eyes on the nitty gritty dirty person parts...

The petals are very white as you'll have noticed, and the background is green wallpaper. Light is diffused light from the overcast rainy day through the living room window.

This is the sort of flower macro I like. Question is, do you?

C&C as always encouraged.

Its a beautiful shot. The lovely pale soft background really sets off the 'bits' lol - which are fabulously sharp.

Lovely shot Paul, love how the pollen is just coming through on the stamen(y)

A lovely shot, pin sharp right where it needs to be and the DOF is just right.

I can't wait for things to start opening up here, I'm all inspired after seeing this one.:)

I tend to slip into the doldrums until spring too...
