I'll keep my ears to the ground here in Bridgend. You might want to get out the car boot sales too in Singleton Hospital Carpark.
 
Thankyou very much for all the help you guys have offered, looking in places and keeping your eyes peeled. I have found some numbers of some more 2nd hand shops too so i am going to inform them too. Any of the south wales people know of a more local forum too where I could possibly post?
 
Sry to hear about your problems Romper Stomper. I hope you get your kit back. all the above is good advice. Also might we worth a try, there's another car boot sale in Rheola Market, Neath on a Saturday market. You could also try Clydach market, although not sure if they have a car boot sale.

Well still no news. I demanded the police come and look at the footprint on my car door from the break in. They came (a week after the stuff was stolen!) and did nothing :( I have kept my eye out locally but nothing, also I have asked all the Photographers who go around the local bars and clubs taking photos. I thought that someone may try selling it on to them. Still nothing on ebay either!
 
Has your package arrived yet bud?
 
I was hoping you would have it by now as it was posted on the 24th

stupidly enough to claim for missing/lost post you have to go into a post office get a form, fill it in and then post it off :cuckoo:

i almost had to do luckily turned up the day after (was in the depo though)

If it was sent Recorded/Special Delivery snoop you can track it online to see where it is via the Royal Mail website.

All you need is the 15 digit number from the recorded slip.

Done that bud - 'Your item cannot be processed at this time'.

Anyway,update :-

The parcel arrived on my doorstep this morning with a 'return to sender' label.
The delivery address has been crossed out & no explanation of its return has
been given :shrug:

I called the post office who have advised that it hasnt been scanned into
the system blah blah blah & it probably 'got lost & found'.
As it was probably found a couple of days after the posting date,standard
practice is to return it to the original sender :cuckoo:

Good news i suppose is that it hasnt been lost completly & better news
is that it has been re-packaged & posted again today.

Fingers crossed,you should have it tomorrow :suspect:
 
Good news, I have just come back from lectures and they have attempted to deliver a package :D Only problem is I have to give 24hours until I can pick the parcel up from the depo :( Thank you once again for your tremendous act of kindness snoop, legendary :D

Update :-

Romper has sent me a pm confirming that he has received the camera :thumbs:

He has been a bit busy with Uni as there have been a few changes which has
restricted his internet access.

Look forward to seeing some posts from him & his new kit :lol:
 
Sorry to hear about the theft. I'm in Neath so have forwarded the details onto the people I know are into photography and are at Swansea Uni.

I'm suprised by how many swansea people there are on this forum :)
 
if you live in wales i wouldnt be suprised if it turns up in liverpool tbh
 
just a quick bump....its probably been sold by cash converters at least twice or 3 times now ....way of the world hope your insurance paid out
 
reading this thread is awful i would hate to have my kit nicked, getting insurance first thing in the morning
