Edit My Images
Yes
Hi all, im a new member. I need to transfer certain photo's from various locations, ie: PC, Camera and memory cards, all into one place so that i can get them printed. Would a flash drive be my best option? or do you loose detail by doing this? :)

Probably best to copy them all onto a memory card or a CD rather than a pen/USB drive - some places say they can't accept images on a usb stick since that would have to be plugged into their computer and could be used to transfer malware onto their system.

Some places are obviously run by morons then! Unless they have set their computers to boot from USB, any method of infecting a machine via a USB stick would be as easily accomplished with a memory card or a CD.

Only repeating what I was once told when I took in a USB stick full of pictures I wanted printing. A quick burn onto a CD and I had my prints.

I think i'll go with the USB flash drive then, are they all the same or can you get better quality ones? When i bought my new camera from LCE they gave me a voucher for free prints, so thats where im going this time. Anyone know the cheapest way or place to get prints developed?

Loads of places for "Cheep" prints; Asda, Morrison's etc. Max Spiellman, Jessops on a high street. But their cheep by cutting things to the limit including wages. Pay peanuts, get monkeys.

Pay for cheep prints and when your disappointed by some, and you WILL be, then how do you know whether its your photography or their printing thats at fault? Pay a little bit more and get your prints done from some where that specialises. Do a search on here, lots mentioned on the "Film and conventional" thread.
