Hello

I want to purchase CS5 and I remember reading here somewhere that you are able to get a student discount even if you are the parent of the student?

It is mainly for his benefit as he has just joined the camera club at school and they are learning cs atm besides I only really use LR..

I need as much info as possible really. Someone that has gone this route would be great to hear from them?

any help would be great..

I bought Lightroom 3 on a student license for my son who is still at school. I needed to provide a copy of his passport and a school report. That was all fairly easy to organise, getting sense out of Adobe was something else but we eventually achieved it.

Thanks Sarah, Did you D/l it or in store?

As for LR Check out the tutorial video's, very informative and easy to follow.

I bought a boxed copy from Amazon and "followed" the instructions. I also read a great number of threads saying how awful Adobes customer service dept is. Ended up phoning USA and UK but got there in the end. At that time Amazon was cheaper but there are a fair number of student software sites. Son has now been encouraged to use Lightroom and surprise surprise loves it as does other student son. They have to have some uses other than parting you from money at no benefit to yourself.

I did the amazon box version and email the proof (PDF of Daughters student id)

Reply to email in less than one hour with a key code....

Easy Peasy....

I got a letter from the school providing the info adobe asked for.
