Sorry if this is the wrong section, but here we go.

Setting up a studio in the garden in a log cabin.

Now what is the best colour to paint the inside of the cabin?

I will be doing pet portraits.

I was thinking white. Then have several background's that I can pull down.

Cheers,
Will

I used to enjoy working in a black studio but that was purely because I did a lot of low-key stuff and liked minimal lighting. We have a white studio at work but because it's roughly 16' x 8' it's a pain to really control a lot of light. For high key it's great but for real control it's a bit pants....

How bigs the cabin? The smaller the space the darker you're likely to want the walls, so that you can control bounce. My studio space is small (18ft x 12ft) and I have the walls very dark but not quite black.

If the space is not BIG and you use white for the walls then you will have a problem getting density in your shadows.
