Stupid question

assuming you took the piccies in jpeg format, then you should be okay, if you used raw then you may need to convert them either in camera if possible (nikon d5000 supports this), or use camera manufactures pc software to do it for you, then take card with jpegs to shop.

depends. if you shot jpg then either. If you shoot raw (which I doubt from your current knowledge) the you will need to use the software that came with your camera and then export from that to jpg at which point you can print at home or upload to the photo printing service of your choice.

Don't want to be rude buy it might be worth investing in a book to get more of an understanding of your camera and what you can do with it I highly recommend looking up some of Scott Kelby books on amazon they walk you through some of the basic stuff like your original question.

Jpegs or Tiffs are easily printed at your local minilab be it Boots or an independent mini lab, no need to go on-line
