hello to all

well as soon as Im home from work I change over from the bigma to the 600 lens and a coffee and down the garden as theres just enough light to get some birds shots .

The sun was very low and getting dull but I really wanted to get something, then a dunnock landed on my fence so I swung the lens around not being hopefull as what light there was is not going to light him/her up but im  and gobsmacked what can be done with this lens.

Shot from about 4.5mtrs so the close focus a good thing and no cropping so using the 40d sensor to the max.

Ive added a 100% crop although its a shame that neat image has done strange things to the whiskers under the beak. but apart from that (y)

For those who havent seen my new toy its a ed 80/ 600mm f7.5 apochromatic refractor telescope.

Awesome, you must be over the moon with the results your getting.

Thanks everyone

Thats pretty damned impressive for the money ! :)

Certainly was a bargain Ian and I have tried iso 400 and shutter speed of 1/800 today, so this should be good this summer.

Awesome, you must be over the moon with the results your getting.

Done some more test shot this afternoon will post later /asap.
