i went to vist my mother living on the gower so it was a good chance to get out with the camera

is it just me or do other people find it hard to take good photos of places that the know well, i've lived in gower all my life and know it like the back of my hand but find it hard to get decent results:shrug:

I like the 1st two - Very simple in composition. In fact the more I look, the more I prefer #1. The bird is just so tranquil and really adds another dimension for me.

yes! i think in my situation its because i have become uninspired by the scenery around me that i take for granted. i tend to take alot more photos of places that are new to me. stunning shots by the way
