The answer is probably 'no', but...

Is there any way of automating the switching of CS5 on Mac between 32bit and 64 bit? I'm doing this a lot at the moment as 64 is so much faster and free of memory outs but I have to switch back to 32 for my Nik plugins.

At the moment I close PS, go to the 'Get Info' of the launch icon and tick (or untick) the 32-bit mode box, then relaunch PS. Is there any way of setting up a macro or something that'll do it all in a single click?

That's the only way I know of doing it. You might be able to do it with an Apple script, but I'm useless at writing these

Can I ask how you can find out if your in 64 bit mode?

Thanks Chappers... Unfortunately I have no clue how to write a script either!

Assuming you're on a Mac, go to Photoshop / About Photoshop... On the about display, the version number will be followed by x32 or x64.
