SWPP

Great Reading shall hold onto my money.......what about LRPS? or BIPP?
 
Just spent over half an hour putting down my views of the pros and cons of the SWPP, then pressed something on my keyboard and it dissappeared! Too tired to write it all out again, but despite the cons hi-lighted in the linky above, I do think it's worth it, at least for the first year if you are a portrait and/or wedding togger. If you are in to events or nature etc. then probably not going to impress you.
 
I read somewhere recently that they have now introduced a lot of the things people (esp. the people on here who ended up leaving the SWPP over these matters) were asking for regarding the competitions, membership etc...
 
TBH unless you are full or P/T (in anyway) I would suggest the RPS. Much more like minded and still has its fair share of pro's.
 
Royal Photographic Society is good. Their distinctions are nice to have, but as with any, aren't worth as much as qualifications.
