Does a D80 have a sync cord fitting? or am I just being stupid...

From what I can gather, the D80 does not have the PC socket for a sync chord.
You will either need to use a hotshoe adapter (recommend one that controls the voltage such as wein safesync) or look for a cheap manual flashgun and triger your strobes optically.
