Syncing ical with Google Calendar

I currently run a PC, Mac and iPhone, and use .me to keep the calendars all in sync with each other. But now I've thrown a new mobile (HTC Hero) into the mix which will only sync with Google Calendar.

It looks like I can sync my iCal with Google Calendar using software called Spanning Sync.

Anyone have any experience of this software or know of any other way to keep them all in sync?

P.s. and it needs to be two way sync.

I followed this link and followed the instructions, all works fine for me, I don't need any other software either, when my MobileMe auto syncs, the Google calendar syncs with it.

I use CalDAV here too, although I'm not too sure it syncs what you have on one calendar with another. It keeps all my calendars synced between devices though.

ooh I've got a Hero so will look into it.

I think I may have sussed it.

I mainly use iCal on the Mac and thats syncs with Outlook on the PC via .me account. So I've set up a Google Calendar account and can sync the outlook account with that, which in turn syncs with the HTC phone. I'm still testing all the variations to check I can add and delete from any device, (PC, Mac, iPhone, HTC) but it's looking promising.

And yes, I know what you're thinking, but it's great when it works :bonk:
