My Mother and Father have been having a lot of probs with their line over the last couple of weeks, loud crackling noises and being cut off and no signal one minute and back on the next, being elderly and my Father not in the best of health I said leave it with me to sort out. Last Thursday I called TT up from their house and explained the situation. After trying two other phones they called me back on my mobile and did a line test. He came back to me and said the line was ok, I asked him if he could hear the loud crackling and he said yes, well I said there is still obviously a problem. They diverted all incoming calls to my Mothers mobile and said I would hear from them in a couple of day`s as to what is happening. I have just recieved a call from one excited Mother who said Open reach had just been and found a fault about 15ft away in the path, they have her back on temporarily with a noise free signal and will be back in a couple of days to renew the line from the box to their house. So in all fairness to all concerned I think that they did as much as could be expected from them.

Good to hear, I've always found TT to be satisfactory ... lines are still effectively BT (Openreach to do work for other suppliers) so line problems are essentially still a BT issue.

That is true Gramps but obviously we have to go through the right channels to get it sorted. I have just come off of the phone after calling Linda Cunningham head exec of customer services. To say she was shocked that I paid them a compliment is an understaterment

 rare treat nowadays in business.

I have had a number of issues with Talktalk, but pleased you actually got somewhere.

Their Customer Compliment number cannot be overworked - sad that they don't move the dedicated staff to Customer Complaints.
