Yes
I have the Nikon D90 how would you use this lens Tamron Adaptall II 35-70mm 1-3.5CF Macro i have the adapter ring for it

I think I've used that.. and if the one I'm thinking of its quite good.

Its manual, so "m" mode and meter off the histogram.

i used this lens quite a few years ago on my 35mm Olympus and it was Brilliant

I've used the AF version with Tamron 90mm f2.5 ( olden days 1:2 macro) and they are excellent. The results were fantastic with D70 and D90.

I'm really sorry that I don't understand your question. Do you want to know the experience from others or do you want to know how to connect the adaptor ring or something else..?

Thanks for the reply i realy wanted to know how to use it ie apature and shutter speed

Set ƒ/3.5 as the non-CPU lens aperture. That tells the camera what the max aperture of the lens is, so it knows what all the other click-stops of the aperture ring mean. Focal length setting  (only relevant to flash?)

Set the camera to auto or manual, adjust the lens aperture using its ring, and set shutter speed if you're in manual.

Edit: Apologies "The Nikon D90 lacks the "Non-CPU Lens Data" menu item found in Nikon's higher-end DSLRs."
