Dean....oh dear....
Is that really the way you want to treat people??

Phil, shut up. Again, you are not understanding. I have zero preference. I love Sigmas primes when they work and I love a few Tamron lenses too. I said,if anyone cares to read properly and comprehend before calling me sad or petty, that Sigma has a worse REPUTATION and this may or may not be unfounded which is another debate. It may be just a meme ( look it up) .
Stop telling people what to ****ing do! If you don't have the smarts to understand a debate don't enter it with some holier than thou attitude.

Okay, I allowed myself to get wound up and for that and calling people morons I apologise. I would ask people to read what is written properly before jumping in and name calling themselves though.

SnappyHappy said:Come on guys, some of us are interested in what could be another serious option for a couple of lenses shortly.....looks like another sensible thread quickly turned nasty on TP
It's happening with a lot of threads now that start off really good and rapidly head south...
Yes, it is. I apologize again for my part in it. Half awake and felt attacked.

Soda Farl said:Don't take the internet so seriously mate no body was attacking you in anyway it's all my fault anyway for the throw away comment I made about back focusing at the start of the thread.
I didn't expect the reaction that has seemed to cause.

The23rdman said:Does anyone have any direct experience on the vc vs non vc 17-50? I had the latter but they're hard to come by now.
do you think it makes a difference which mark of camera we use these third party lenses on
ie canon nikon sony pentax etc
I was thinking more along the lines of do these third party lenses work better on say a 5 dmk3 than a nikon d800 or vice versa
read plenty of reviews on comparisons of lenses ie tamron v sigma v oe but they tend to be on the oe camera
not read a review where they test say a tamron v sigma on a canon a pentax a nikon a sony camera etc etc
Wow, some people on this forum would argue over the price of brown bread I bet!!
what is wrong with people? Put up a thread about 2 new lenses: people start arguing over third party manufacturers ...
It's almost as pathetic as the Samsung Galaxy Vs iPhone debates/arguments. My phone is about the least important thing in my life [it's an iphone btw, with a cracked back plate and a jammy home button]
Anyway, it'll be interested in seeing reviews for both of these lenses. And especially the pricing.
