can the nikon 300mm f4 be used with a sigma 1.4 converter? or can it only work with the nikon converters?

I used the Kenko Pro on my old 300 f4 lens.

It'll work with the Sigma 1.4x EX. Fits and mounts fine. AF can jitter a tad.
