Telegraph Tilt Shift London

Phenomenal - something I've wanted to try for ages - these are great - thanks for posting the link :)

I was looking at them yesterday, fantastic results!

It's a shame tilt shift lenes cost so much.

The first pic is the best.

You dont need a tilt shift lens. You can take a normal photo and adjust it in photoshop to make it a tilt shift effect.

Alternatively you can use this site to upload your photo and adjust on site: www.tiltshiftmaker.com

on image 7 he kind of hints that he's not using a lens, perhaps I'm reading too much into it. But aye, a great set of shots.

he mentions on image 6 the basic technique:

He explains: "By blurring two sections of the photograph the image basically tricks the human eye into thinking it's looking at something very small like a model..."

Well the first one says it was taken using a tilt shift lens, and then later it turns into a technique....:suspect:
Blurring the top and bottom is a technique whether a TS lens is used or not, so.....give us a clue...

Are they any good, well, I dunno, even saying the word cliche, is cliche

I like this, not by the above tog btw, im not normally a massive fan of tilt shift stuff

Technique is nothing new or special, but you have to admire his intention to go around and shoot all the major London sights and events in this style. Good stuff.

millennium bridge and the snow scene were the best ones. the pictures also shows where not to use Tilt and Shift. the lords photos don't look good at all nor did the British museum one, kinda miss the point shooting it from that angel and capturing the amazing structure but only having focus on a random sculpture at the bottom and of the stairs and with a few people in focus...

quite like the effect of the Tilt and Shift.
Looks like lego sort of town.hahah
