Hi all,

I am looking for a good telephoto lens for my Sony a6400 on a budget.
I have some good results of a local fotball games with my kit 18-135 and this sort of quality is sufficient for me.

Thanks

I was thinking that if you stood on the centre spot on the football field your 18-135mm lens should be all you need. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :headbang::exit: lOGIC AT ITS BEST

The 70-350mm as mentioned is a great lens. If you need better low light performance the Tamron 70-180. For a cheaper option the Tamron 70-300.

The 70-350 currently is beyond what I would be willing to spend on it. Does any of you have experience of using 70-300 outdoors for sport?

How much do you want to spend? You can get a pre used one for £558-00. Personally I would not use anything else if you need long reach. I use mine for the fast jets at RIAT, for bird, wildlife photos, for Steam trains & even for Bee's on flowers.

What's your budget?

The tamron 70-300mm AF isn't great
I also owned tamron 50-300mm which is much improved but if you can afford that you can afford a used 70-350mm
Really my suggestion would be to save up and then buy the 70-350mm. It's an amazing lens and there's really nothing like it on any brand!
