Tell me about this camera.

It's a Fuji IS Pro, which is meant to do UV and IR.

So you can't just use it as a normal DSLR (without specialist filters) and they won't sell it to you unless you're dixon of dock green. Shame, it looked very tempting.

I think this is nothing more than a regular DSLR with the IR and UV filters removed. Just like Advanced Camera Services will do to any camera for you, for a couple of hundred quid, and as used by any number of IR photographers including a few on here http://www.advancedcameraservices.co.uk/

Isn't the security nonsense just ass-covering by Fuji, because under some circumstances the sensor can see through bathing costumes and stuff? Same technology as those body scanners at airports use, and have caused a bit of fuss recently when they were used, erm, inapporpriately

Went through one of those in LA yesterday. I was most disappointed when I looked at the screen. Just a "passed" - no sexy body shots which would clearly have been enhanced by my week long crusade to eat as much as possible at all those lovely restaurants I was taken to :bang:
