I watched some footage of that guy at the Sony release. He looked like a right clown.

To be fair to the classifieds advertisers, one of the 28-70's was mint as new and looked in far better condition than the Harrisons one (classed as good, not very good, not excellent). On top of that , knowing the seller as I do he would have lowered the price![]()

Another difference between these two cameras is that Sony A9's sensor lacks anti-alias (Low-Pass) filter. Removing anti-alias filter increases the sharpness and level of detail but at the same time, it increases the chance of moire occurring in certain scenes.
Why is a Sony Artisan like Brian Smith saying there's no AA in the a7iii?
Just because I bought a Sony doesn't make me responsible for someone I've never heard of![]()
Lol what a waste of time potentially watching that lolThe A7III has an AA filter and some guy said it didn't, so he's being berated for it.
I agree, its great value at £1999, also most places are throwing in free 3 years extended warranty if you ask, that adds even greater value especially as you can transfer ownership/warranty to the next owner (good for resale).
Do Nikon and Canon still lock down their warranty to the first original owners?![]()
Can you transfer Sony warranty?
But does it have an AA?
My assumption was yes and that seems more typical for its market segment but I was waiting for the actual launch to get it confirmed. The only reason I had to assume is all these guys on video have been careful to point out they've been told rather than it does or doesn't.
It is a little weird this hasn't been confirmed either way, we're only a few days away from when people are supposed to be receiving pre-orders.

I doesn’t have a low-pass optical filter (AA). Check out the official Sony technical spec. Brian Smith has also confirmed this.
To Nikon?

That’ll be good news for @rookies
Yup but will he keep it long enough to even register it lol
He’s managed around 1000 shots on his Nikon D500![]()
Those in Glass houses![]()
Why do Sony continue making new lenses with optical stabilisation? All of their latest bodies have stabilisation built in so why add more weight, complexity and cost to a lens when it’s not needed??
