It's cheapYeah but its rather expensive lol
lol.It's cheap
Bring the A9 instead. It's quieterlol.
I think I will be fine with the Sony A7 III, 16-35mm f2.8 GM and Zeiss 55mm f1.8, still a relatively light / small kit.
Could get the small 85mm f1.8 too maybe
I was considering the Sony 28mm but apparently its absolutely pants.
Just love your informed opinion!Friend of mine has a 28mm he said it was absolute garbage, worst lens they make.
Just love your informed opinion!
I owned it too and wasn't really impressed too much on both an A7RII and A9
If I was going cheap and wide I'd get the Samyang 24mm 2.8 for sure
NiceI am going to Taiwan with 35/85. Still fits in my Ryker.
Examples to back up what you're saying?I owned it too and wasn't really impressed too much on both an A7RII and A9.
lolExamples to back up what you're saying?
My search for the Sigma 135mm 1.8 Art is over, one “opened box used” just popped up at Wex so I could use my p/ex credit that they only confirmed this morning. I’m happy despite having the worst man cold since the dawn of time.
Nah, I'm a hunkbig though but that's obviously not a concern for you.

brilliant lens. probably the sharpest non-macro lens I have used. big though but that's obviously not a concern for you.
I can't wait for the G Master version of the 135mm One lens I miss from my Fuji line-up is the 90mm f2.0 (135mm eqiv). The 135 1.8 is incredible. Loving mine atm

I know but the Batis lenses don't have AF-hold buttons like the GM'sYou can still get 90mm f2 equiv. in batis 135mm f2.8
its better than samyang 24mm f2.8
Dude I owned the lens and seen a plethora of raw files from both cameras. The proof was my own two eyes lol
I wasn't expecting this for at least a month.
How many shots have you taken with both to compare?
I asked about the 28mm again in a wedding photographers group on Facebook this morning and quite a few recommended the Samyang as a light weight wide option. Pretty much everyone said the 28mm wasn't very good.
I wasn't expecting this for at least a month.
Where did you order from Raymond?
LCE.
I actually pre-order the Sigma too but they STILL don't have that in stock so I switched when this was annouced.
Will give them a call.
Just noticed a few places showing today as the release date, but nobody seems to be showing stock.
I think I may have matched your spending this month
24GM
A73 + bits and pieces like strap, leather case
13" MBP with i7, 16G RAM, 512 SSD. + case, USB-C SD card reader
In that case back up your sweeping statement with proof, here's three from me taken with the 28mm......Dude I owned the lens and seen a plethora of raw files from both cameras. The proof was my own two eyes lol

Was trying to keep this month spends on gear under 2k but now that the 24GM is available, who knows. :banghead:
I know it's limitations Raymond, all I'm trying to prove is that sweeping statements like these are just wrong.......Closer, wide open, into hard contrast.

I may not be done yet, contemplating getting a trigger and a flash + spare battery for my trip next week.
But the 105/1.4 will have to go on hold until next year though.
