Sounds like I need to buy a new one thenYeah all the newer body’s are usb-c only.
I think the a7c2 was the first.
It’s a real pain for Astro, anything stacking or bulb.
Typically I bought a new one for my a7iii exactly like that and then changed camera 2 months later so it’s been used once
There are connectors that can allow these to be used but seems very hot and miss with which ones work ok
The app is about all you can use currently, but my phone is old and battery drains fast using it.
My current multi USB shutter release works on the A1 II I have the new 70-200mm F4 Macro version of the lens.Nothing to worry about with the 20-70mm and 35mm f1.4GM in that regards, although I always have corrections set to auto in camera and in lightroom. Which 70-200mm do you have?
The Hawkchurch Resort which I mentioned earlier could be more suitable. It's set in the Country side and is tree lined on the road leading to the properties and there's plenty of countryside around the resort. Also, it's close to the Jurassic Coast which I also like photographing. Finally it's on the Devon/Dorset border so there's plenty of photo opportunities nearby. We went to Crantock in the summer, we've been there before too, and it's a nice little area along that coast. We were hoping to try the Polperro area, but might go somewhere more "autumn" based seeing as it'll be October.
I thought I read somewhere the remotes would be different for the two cameras. I will give the Creators App a go next week as I have loaded both cameras into the App and it seems fine using it around the home. Any problems and I will manually set the cameras like @woof woof mentioned in his earlier post.Remember the a7v and a7rv would need different remotes if you by a wired one.
It seems near impossible to get anything bar a a simple shutter release.
I’ve not looked recently but couldn’t even find a wireless intervalometer that worked with the a7v
Ahh, I can’t help with that then as I have the f2.8 III have the new 70-200mm F4 Macro version of the lens.
