Some of those are NOT comedy shows.

Open all hours

Gggg gggrr granvil and nurse gladis

Also, Chance In a Million and Lucky Fella, never took off, but made me laugh.

You mean Lucky Feller, with David Jason?

Yep! Was a big fan of David Jason, before he made it big. The Secret Life of Edgar Briggs,.as mentioned in a previous post, was great too at the time...For me anyway. :) Pity ATV or whoever scrapped it.

Flight of the Concords...slightly alternative but the mix of dialogue and music is fantastic and gets me in stitches every time!

In no particular order.

WKRP in Cincinnati

Barney Miller

Family Guy

South Park

Yes Minister / Prime Minister

Cheers

The kenny Everett show, who can forget colonel "bomb the *******s". Funny as hell.

Absolutely....Steep that was it.

And I was going to say Drop the Dead Donkey this morning but you put it. That was a ground breaking TV show.

Sorry, Hugh!!
Some great shows on Radio 4 Extra, but some, like me, haven't aged well.

Two words: ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, IMO the best comedy of the last decade once you get into it. It's had a strange lack of exposure in the UK for some reason.

Lots of other good programmes suggested by others - I haven't thought about 3rd rock from the sun for a while but I used to really enjoy that.

Has anyone mentioned Spaced yet? Im not surprised, I thought it was cr4p.
I'm at least for; Black adder, Fast show, I'm Alan Partridge, Father Ted, fawlty towers, red dwarf.

Bo Selecta was quite amusing too I thought. Esp scary spice and craig david

do you remember The Worst Week of My Life and then The Worst Christmas of My Life?.. i got the box set. Hilarious.

No one has mentioned a very underated favourite of mine which had an abundance of really funny characters,Hi Di Hi. Not sure of the spelling.
I have got to agree on the Phil Silvers show,he was a comic genius.

Ooooooh, how could I have left him out on my list?!

Put me down for Kenny Everett.

I thought "Slinger's Day" which starred Bruce Forsythe as a harrassed shop manager has it's good moments: "I want those tins of baked beans lined up so straight I could cut my eyes just by looking at it".

then you either never saw it or you have no sense of humor :)

A sense of what?

Is that like humour, but for people who need a laughter track to tell them when something is "funny"? ;)

That just shows you have never seen it. There is no laughter track on curb your enthusiasm. ;)

I didn't say that particular programme (note the double 'm' and the 'e') had one, I was making reference to your use of American English.,...

No-ones mentioned Still Game!! has that been aired down south?

I haven't seen Karl Pilkington mentioned yet, either. 'An idiot abroad' is fantastic!

Nightingales Robert Lindsey surrealisticly funny from the 90's and again in Citizen Smith 70's not in the same league as the nightingales but way above The Family
