The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

@bloater

Personally (unless you are desperate), I’d wait until the X-T6 is released. Traditionally the out going model takes an initial hit (due to oversupply in the pre-loved market) and then prices start to firm up again.

Also if the X-T6 is released at a price say £200 more than the current X-T5 RRP then instantly all pre-loved X-T5s will get a corresponding price increase. Conversely there is a risk that the new camera has a lower RRP but in the current climate where chips (esp. memory) are rapidly increasing in cost this is extremely unlikely.

IMO you have nothing to lose while waiting other than having a ‘fat’ camera (one could say that it’s bloated!!!)

I think the X-T6 is nailed on. There's a lot of discussion about the rear screen, and if they go back to the X-T4 screen that would be a deal breaker for me. Also, for what I want an X-Tx for I don't know what the X-T6 could have to tempt me spending a lot more money over the X-T5.
Not for me, I love the fold away and forget it nature of the X-T4 screen, there is no way the touch screen can be accidentally activated which was what drove me up the wall with my EOS M6 mk2.

One of the first things I do with any camera is turn the touch screen off ;) I hate screens that you have to flip out to tilt.
